After a weekend storm, the hallowed turf is covered in water - up to 25cm in places, and the second test fives days away. The only blessing was that flood water was not lying on the playing surface.
1975 Storm damages Stands
1 August, No 4 Stand had its roof removed (again, see 1968) and one or two sheets of iron were also blown off the roof of the No.1 Stand by high winds, two days before a representative rugby match, Canterbury vs. Bay of Plenty.
